KIA Niro: Concentric Slave Cylinder Assembly Repair procedures
Kia Niro - First generation - (DE) (2017-2022) - Service and Repair Manual / Engine Clutch System / Concentric Slave Cylinder Assembly Repair procedures
Removal
- Remove the hybrid motor assembly.
(Refer to Hybrid Motor System - "Hybrid Motor Assembly")
- Remove the engine clutch actuator.
(Refer to Engine Clutch System - "Engine Clutch Actuator")
- Remove the adapter (A).
- Loosen the bracket bolt (A) and concentric slave cylinder bolts (B) and then remove the concentric slave cylinder.
Tightening torque : (A) 3.9 - 5.9 N.m (0.4 - 0.6 kgf.m, 2.9 - 4.3 lb-ft) (B) 9.8 - 19.6 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 14.5 lb-ft)
Installation
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
Warning
- When it is assembled, it must be free from invasive foreign matters and oil leakage.
- Before installing the adapter, check the assembled state of the
O-rings (A).
- After replacing the concentric slave cylinder assembly, operate the followings in order using KDS.

bolts.

Reservoir Repair procedures
Removal
Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery (-) terminal.
Drain the hydraulic oil from the reservoir using a syringe.
Loosen the reservoir hose (A) and bolts (B) and then remove the
reservoir.
Tightening torque :

Refer to oil replacement procedure due to drained oil quantity
