The hybrid battery cooling duct is
located under the rear seats. The cooling
duct cools down the hybrid battery.
When the hybrid battery cooling duct is
blocked, the hybrid battery may be overheated.

Disassembly of the thermostat may have an adverse effect, causing
deteriorated cooling efficiency. Do not
remove the thermostat, even if the engine tends to overheat.

Removal
Open the trunk.
Remove the luggage side trim (RH) side cover (A).
Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-)
terminal (A).
Disconnect the battery sensor connector (B).
