Description

The Sunroof is quiped with a one touch on/off switch to open and close the glass, and it has an ANTIPINCH function which prevents objects from jamming while performing AUTO CLOSE feature.

Sunroof Switch Repair procedures

Inspection

1. Remove the overhead console lamp.

   (Refer to Lighting System - "Overhead Console Lamp")

2. Check for continuity between the terminals in each switch position according to the table.

Replacement

1. If the sunroof switch needs to be replaced, replace the overhead console lamp assembly.

   (Refer to Lighting System - "Overhead Console Lamp")

Sunroof Motor Repair procedures

Inspection

1. Remove the roof trim assembly.

   (Refer to Body - "Roof Trim Assembly")

2. Ground the terminals as below table, and check that the sunroof unit operates after disconnecting the sunroof motor connector.

3. Make these input tests at the connector. If any test indicates a problem, find and correct the cause, then recheck the system. If all the input tests prove OK, the sunroof motor must be faulty; replace it.

Removal

1. Remove the roof trim assembly.

   (Refer to Body - "Roof Trim Assembly")

2. Remove the motor (A) by loosenig the screws after disconnecting the connector.

Installation

1. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Adjustment

Resetting The Sunroof

1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position or start the engine. We recommend resetting the sunroof while the engine is running.
2. Close the sunroof completely if opened
3. Release the sunroof switch.
4. Move the sunroof switch in the direction of close until the sunroof moves tilt up. Then, release the switch.
5. Move the sunroof switch forward in the direction of close, until the sunroof operates as follow again : Tilt down → Slide Open → Slide Close

Warning

Do not release the switch until the operation is completed. If you release the switch during operation, try again from step 2.

6. Release the sunroof switch after all operation has completed.

   (The sunroof system has been reset.)
